The race has been a popular feature of the South East’s Road Running calendar for 21 years now and attracts over 800 runners.
The 2021 Bewl 15 will take place on Sunday 4th July. The race starts at 10.00 am. All finishers will receive a t-shirt, medal and a goody bag and there are prizes for the leading runners.
There are prizes for race and category winners, including trophies for the first three junior, senior and vet males and females as well as the first three of every age category. There is also a £50 cash prize the first man and woman finishers, sponsored by Gibbs Reed garage and MOT Station, Ticehurst.
In addition Paramo Directional Clothing, Wadhurst sponsor the provision of a voucher for a running jacket to the first junior, senior and vet male and female
Finally, there is an additional bonus, of £50, for anyone who breaks the men’s or ladies course records. These are currently held by William Levett of Tonbridge AC (01:27:05) and Katy Moore of Brighton & Hove City AC (01:37:25). Both records were set in 2009.
There are numerous water and sports drinks stations plus you’ll find jelly baby stations around the course. At the finish, as well as drinks, you’ll find a mouthwatering selection of cakes available free for all finishers.
Wadhurst Runners are keen to cut the use of motor vehicles, so please share cars wherever possible. Free parking is offered at the Uplands Community School which is adjacent to the Sports Centre. In addition free courtesy minibuses will collect runners and spectators at the Wadhurst Train Station off of every Hastings or London trains up to and including 10am. Return cannot be guaranteed but we will do our best to return you to the station.
